The Electra

The Electra is an underground rock group from the Bay Area California.[1][2] Formed in 1985 by Brian Nixon and Jeff Carlson, and later joined by Chris Manak (Peanut Butter Wolf). The Electra influenced several musical artists,[3][4] especially through the ongoing musical production of the various members of the group.[5] The music consisted of alternative, punk, hip-hop, and avant-garde influences.[5]

After three indie releases, (The Electra, 1987; Isaac, Felia, The Alley Bricks and Rain,[6][7] 1988, and Silent People,[8][9] 1989), The Electra put out one major release, USAmerica, with Epithet/Americanon Records.[10]
